A complete website for food artist and chef Yasmine Moufti — art directed, illustrated, animated and built end to end.
Yasmine Moufti is a food artist and chef whose work lives in edible installations, immersive dinners and culinary performances — projects that exist for one evening and afterwards only as documentation. She needed a site that could hold that archive and still feel like the work itself: warm, hand-made, unhurried.
The brief was the whole thing. Not a design handed over to someone else to build, but art direction, typography, illustration, motion, navigation, responsive behaviour and the finished, live site.
I used AI as the production engine, not as the designer. Every decision about type, palette, pacing and layout was made the way I would make it on any brand project. What changed was the distance between deciding something and seeing it running in a browser.
That shift changed what was worth attempting. An animated banner loop, hand-drawn line illustrations, transitions that hold the editorial rhythm from page to page — the kind of detail that normally gets cut first on a small budget survived here, because trying it cost hours instead of weeks.

“Have a table in mind? Let’s set it.”
The palette is warm cream and ink — closer to a cookbook than a portfolio. Type is set in a high-contrast serif with a generous measure, so the writing about each project reads as an essay rather than a caption. The illustration is deliberately hand-drawn: a table laid with candles, a utensil, a few loose lines, carrying the same made-by-hand quality as the food.
The structure stays plain on purpose. A projects index, a page per project, an about page, and a single line of invitation at the end. Every layout was designed twice — once for the desktop it will be shown on, and once for the phone most people will actually find it on.
